MagicGrade is a product of MrAlexTech Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. When we say “we”, “us”, or “MagicGrade” in this document, we mean MrAlexTech Ltd.
If you have any questions about these terms, email us at support@magic-grade.com.
MagicGrade is an OFX colour grading plugin for DaVinci Resolve. A purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use the plugin. This is a one-time purchase with no recurring subscription.
We also offer a free 7-day trial so you can try MagicGrade before buying. The trial is limited to one per person and one per machine.
You don't need to sign up to download MagicGrade. When you start a free trial via the plugin, or purchase a licence, an account is automatically created using the email address you provide. You can also sign in any time at magic-grade.com to manage your licence or take part in the community.
We use passwordless sign-in (magic links sent to your email). You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure. If you think someone has gained access to your email, contact us so we can revoke any active sessions.
We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that are used to abuse the trial system, distribute licence keys, or engage in any activity that harms the service or other users.
When you purchase MagicGrade, you receive a licence key tied to your email address. This key is for your personal use. Sharing, reselling, or publicly distributing licence keys is not permitted and may result in the key being revoked without refund.
We may revoke licence keys in the event of a refund, chargeback, or detected abuse.
MagicGrade includes a community area where users can share and download presets. By uploading a preset (and ticking the rights confirmation on the upload form), you confirm that it is your own work and that you grant other MagicGrade users the right to download and use it within the plugin. We may remove presets at our discretion, including in response to credible third-party rights claims.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your card details. All prices are shown inclusive of applicable taxes.
As a digital product, all sales are final. We don't offer refunds. To make sure MagicGrade is right for you before you buy, we provide a free 7-day trial with no feature restrictions - please use it.
If something is genuinely broken on our end, or your licence key never arrived, contact us at support@magic-grade.com and we'll work it out with you. Where a refund is granted at our discretion, the associated licence key will be revoked.
We aim to keep MagicGrade available and up to date, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to the website or plugin. We may release updates, change features, or discontinue parts of the service at any time.
MagicGrade is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of MagicGrade is limited to the amount you paid for the product.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know by email or by posting a notice on the website. Continued use of MagicGrade after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

We collect the minimum amount of data needed to provide the service. Here is what we store and why:
Email address
Used to create your account, send your licence key, and contact you about important updates. We collect it when you start a free trial in the plugin, when you purchase MagicGrade, or when you sign in to magic-grade.com.
Device identifier
A hashed hardware fingerprint generated by the plugin. This is not your computer name or MAC address. It is used solely to prevent trial abuse (one trial per machine) and to track licence activations. It is collected when you start a trial or activate a licence.
Machine name
The name of your computer (e.g. “Alex’s PC”). This is collected alongside the device identifier to help you identify your own machines if you contact support.
Payment information
Processed by Stripe. We receive your email and transaction details but never see or store your card number. Stripe’s own privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.
We use your data to provide and protect the service: delivering licence keys, verifying trial eligibility, preventing abuse, sending transactional emails (licence keys, magic links for sign-in), and providing customer support. We do not use your data for marketing unless you have opted in separately. We do not sell your data to anyone.
We process your data on the basis of legitimate interest (operating the service and preventing abuse) and contractual necessity (fulfilling your purchase). For any optional communications, we rely on your consent.
Your data is stored in our database hosted by Supabase (servers in the United States). Payment data is handled by Stripe. Both providers maintain appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Trial activation records (including device identifiers) are retained for the purpose of abuse prevention. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep it for legal or financial record-keeping purposes.
Under UK and EU data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can also request a copy of the data we hold about you or ask us to restrict how we process it.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@magic-grade.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We use only the cookies needed to make the site work:
We do not use analytics cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party advertising cookies.
If you have questions about this privacy notice or want to make a complaint, email support@magic-grade.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
